Patrizia Zita Receives Tribute to Women Award from YWCA Princeton
On March 8th, KZG Principal Patrizia “Trish” Zita was among the eight honorees to be recognized by YWCA Princeton at their 2019 Tribute to Women Awards.
Since its establishment in 1984, the Tribute to Women Awards has celebrated the achievements of outstanding women from the Greater Mercer County area, who have made significant contributions to their communities, professions, educational institutions, or organizations. Above all, the Awards recognize women who truly embodied the YWCA mission of eliminating racism and empowering women through their accomplishments.
The Awards Ceremony included speeches from the eight award recipients, as well as featurettes of the honorees and organization’s work. Addressing those in attendance, Trish spoke of the YWCA’s mission and why it is important to work together:
“We are all different, but if we lead with the assumption that people are truly good, and if we look at each other through that lens and with an open heart, then we will achieve the YWCA’s mission of bringing us together.”
Established in 1922, YWCA Princeton is a not-for-profit organization with thousands of members, and a mission to eliminate racism and empower women. The YWCA is the oldest and largest multicultural women’s organization in the world with affiliates in over 120 countries and with 250 associations in the U.S. The YWCA Princeton branch serves Mercer County and Central NJ through educational and recreational classes, social services, advocacy, and leadership development.
Trish sincerely appreciates this recognition and congratulates all of her fellow honorees.
