Chris Hughes Organizes Successful Advocacy Day for New Jersey PACE Association
TZG’s Chris Hughes organized a very successful Advocacy Day for our client, the New Jersey PACE Association at the New Jersey State House on September 26, 2024, as part of National PACE Month.
Chris and NJ PACE Association members came together to educate legislators on the important role PACE plays in caring for elderly citizens throughout the State. NJ PACE is the New Jersey arm of the National PACE Association. The acronym stands for Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly and the program is designed to provide eligible participants, their family, caregivers, and professional health care providers the flexibility to meet their health care needs as they continue living and aging in their community.
NJ PACE Association members from AtlantiCare, Beacon of Life, Inspira, and WelbeHealth, joined to speak to legislators on the needs of those involved in receiving services from PACE organizations across New Jersey. They spoke to more than 40 legislators and their staff having meaningful conversations about the work they do. We’re hopeful our efforts to educate these policymakers will have a strong impact and help to expand and improve elder care in New Jersey.
A successful lobby day requires a strong, pre-planned strategy. Chris did a great job sorting out all the logistics and arranging for legislators to meet with our client. Chris looks forward to continuing to work with the NJ PACE Association, raising their profile and educating policymakers throughout New Jersey.
