Beth Dohm Receives NJ Society of Optometric Physicians’ 2024 Public Service Award

The New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians (NJSOP) honored Beth Dohm with its prestigious 2024 Public Service Award.

The honor recognizes individuals for their contributions to the visual welfare of New Jersey residents.

“Beth is a tireless advocate for our profession,” said NJSOP President Dr. Maria Cardona. “She and her colleagues at The Zita Group have produced significant results for NJSOP and have ensured that NJSOP is well placed at the policy-making table.”

The NJSOP is dedicated to advancing the profession of optometry and helping optometrists meet the eye care needs of the public. The society is also focused on improving the quality and availability of vision care and fulfills its mission through advocacy and by providing reliable and current information regarding eye care and health care policies.

Beth said she is honored to represent NJSOP before the Legislature and the Executive Branch and is proud of the long record of achievement on numerous bills over the last several years.  “I am grateful to be recognized and appreciate the trust and faith NJSOP has placed in me. I look forward to continuing our work to advance and protect the optometric scope of practice and increase patient access to vision and medical eye care in NJ.”
