Eric Orlando Graduates as a Lead New Jersey Fellow

Earlier this month, KZG’s Eric Orlando completed a year-long fellowship program conducted by Lead New Jersey (LNJ), the state’s most prominent leadership development organization. For over 30 years, Lead New Jersey has brought together a highly select group of individuals from the public, private, and non-profit sectors to help foster the development of the state’s next generation of leaders. Eric joins the over 1,600 members of Lead New Jersey’s alumni community. Many of these past graduates steward New Jersey’s most prominent companies, non-profits, and government agencies as Lead New Jersey Fellows.

In December 2016, Eric was selected among several qualified nominees to participate in the fellowship program, making a commitment to attend and actively engage in monthly seminars throughout the state exploring the various policy challenges facing New Jersey today. While being exposed to complex issues ranging from criminal justice reform and the continued implementation of the Affordable Care Act, to our state’s ongoing pension crisis and transportation infrastructure challenges, he met thought-leaders from numerous industries and organizations who helped shed light on how developing their own leadership qualities has helped make a difference in their communities and throughout the state.

Eric spoke about this accomplishment, “It’s such an honor to have participated in this program with my fellow classmates in the Class of 2017. Over the past year, while strengthening my knowledge base, I got to hear diverse perspectives on policy issues very few people ever get the opportunity to come across in their daily professional life. My Lead New Jersey experience truly showed me that getting out of your comfort zone is the only way one can truly appreciate what leadership is and how it can be applied to make a positive impact in our state. I look forward to applying the skills LNJ’s program has provided me to all of KZG’s clients.”
