KZG’s Jeannine LaRue Hosts “Police and Community with Trenton Police Director Sheilah Coley” Radio Show
KZG’s Jeannine LaRue and 30-year law enforcement veteran Sheilah A. Coley debuted their weekly call in radio show on WBCB 1490 on Tuesday, July 21st. The show has already proved to be a huge success, providing a much-needed dialogue for Trenton residents.
“Now more than ever we need to strengthen police-community communications and deepen our connections with residents and community leaders,” said Director Coley.
When discussing the inaugural episode, Jeannine LaRue said, “We weren’t expecting many callers, but as soon as we started the switch board just lit up! We were able to take questions from several listeners which is atypical for new radio shows.”
The show, which is sponsored by the economic development organization Greater Trenton and Case Pork Roll, will run for seven-weeks. Upcoming shows will air on July 28, August 4, 11, 18, 25 and September 1. Listeners can call into the show at (215) 949-3232 with their questions and stream the broadcast live through the radio station’s website at wbcb1490.com.
Future shows will feature experts from across the country to provide insight on community policing and police reform efforts.
“We look forward to having more engaging conversations about the tough issue of minorities and police,” said Jeannine LaRue.
