KZG’s Matt McDermott Speaks to the New Jersey Leadership Program’s Class of 2018
On July 28th, KZG’s Matt McDermott was invited to address the New Jersey Leadership Program’s Class of 2018 Fellows. Matt joined a list of distinguished speakers who have participated in the program’s Summer Speakership Series, including Congressman Frank Pallone (D) and Assembly Speaker Craig Coughlin (D-19).
Matt spoke to the Fellows about his years of experience in state and local government, and provided insight on how public policy is developed and implemented in New Jersey. Utilizing his expertise in government, Matt answered questions from the Fellows and engaged in discussion on how things get done in Trenton.
The New Jersey Leadership Program (NJLP) is a non-partisan, nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting South Asian American youth participation and education at the local level of government in the State of New Jersey. NJLP and its fellowship program focuses on developing leadership, building public policy knowledge, and filling the pipeline for South Asian Americans to work in government or pursue public office at the local, state, and federal levels.
