KZG’s Patrizia Zita Elected to the Drumthwacket Foundation Board of Trustees
After being nominated by First Lady Tammy Murphy, the President of the Drumthwacket Foundation, KZG’s Patrizia “Trish” Zita was formally elected to the Foundation’s Board of Trustees on February 26th.
Founded in 1982, the Drumthwacket Foundation is a non-profit, non-partisan organization. It serves to inspire pride in and enhance the civic awareness of Drumthwacket, the official New Jersey Governor’s residence and a nationally landmarked historic site. The Foundation facilitates restoration and conservation of the residence and offers education and cultural programs that recognize the rich diversity of New Jersey’s communities and residents. Drumthwacket Foundation Trustees serve as volunteers and are elected annually.
Trish spoke after the announcement of her election to the Board, “It’s an honor to serve on the Drumthwacket Foundation Board of Trustees. I plan on doing all I can to help achieve the First Lady’s goal of bringing Drumthwacket into a new era, one which emphasizes the property as a cultural and educational destination for all.” Since assuming office last year, Murphy’s objective as the Foundation’s President has been to open the property more often for all citizens to enjoy by hosting guests for dinners and events, opening it up for rotating art exhibits, leveraging it as an educational resource, and completing many necessary repairs.
Joining Patrizia on the Board are new members: Dennis Drazin, Paul P. Josephson, Eileen Kean, and Louis Magazzu.
