KZG’s Skip Cimino Honored by the Mercer County Italian-American Festival Association
In September, the Mercer County Italian-American Festival Association honored KZG’s Anthony “Skip” Cimino for his professional achievements and community impact at their 13th Annual Columbus Day Gala. The Mercer County Italian-American Festival Association is dedicated to celebrating, promoting and enhancing the heritage and culture of Italian Americans, and its annual gala recognizes honorees that embody the organization’s values.
Skip, who was inducted into the Italian-American National Hall of Fame in 2013, was recognized for his work in both the private and public sectors. The Association highlighted Skip’s time in government as an Assemblyman and cabinet official in Governor Jim Florio’s administration, as well as his work as President and CEO of Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton.
Skip was honored by the Association’s recognition and said, “My Italian heritage is very important to me and has acted as a guiding principle throughout my life. I thank the Association and its members, and I look forward to continuing to support our community.”
All proceeds from the Columbus Day Gala were donated to the Mercer County Italian-American Festival Association’s Christopher Columbus Scholarship Foundation.
