TZG Proudly Supports the 15th Annual Bowl for Hunger with Assembly Speaker Craig J. Coughlin
TZG was proud to support and attend the 15th Annual Bowl for Hunger event hosted by Assembly Speaker Craig J. Coughlin (D-Middlesex).
Fifteen years ago, Speaker Coughlin, alongside the Woodbridge Metro Chamber of Commerce, the Middlesex Water Company, and Hackensack Meridian Health created a “Bowl for Hunger” charitable event to support food pantries serving Carteret, Perth Amboy, Sayreville, South Amboy, and Woodbridge. Since the program’s inception, Bowl for Hunger has raised over $220,000 for 30 food pantries across the Speaker’s legislative district in New Jersey.
Speaker Coughlin has made the fight against hunger and the eradication of childhood hunger one of his key policy agendas, focusing on food security for New Jersey families. He has spearheaded the expansion of free school lunches and sponsored comprehensive anti-hunger legislation, including a significant 500% increase in aid to food banks and the establishment of the Office of Food Security Advocate. Coughlin’s ambitious goal is to eliminate hunger in New Jersey by 2030 (NJ Assembly Democrats).
TZG was very pleased to be part of this initiative and will continue to support this important effort.
